entry 08: the joy of digitizing my chaos
on scanning old journals and preserving my inner worlds
I have always loved pen and paper when it comes to journaling. It just feels more genuine—more me. Plus my ADHD brain doesn’t stand a chance against the distractions of a blinking cursor or notification sounds.
But… Three days ago, I bought a second-hand printer with a scanner, and I’ve been absolutely obsessed. Scanning my journals has felt weirdly soothing, like archiving little pieces of myself.
Today I won’t write much. Instead I’ll leave you alone with some scanned pages from my travel journal. I hope you enjoy flipping through. In the future I plan to add scans of my written words and translate them to English (because the main language I use to journal is Turkish).

where is ilayda?
I just got back from the beach because I wanted to see the sun set on summer solstice, the longest day in northern hemisphere. The sky didn’t disappoint.
And mentally I am in a messy state. I am torn between whether it’s worth to fight some battles or is it better to just wave the white flag and walk away.
